Snow, Stillness and What’s Beginning

I awoke to a brisk, snowy morning here in Colorado. I always love the purity and cleansing that the snow offers and we so badly need the moisture.

This is a light snow, the kind that clings to the branches of the trees. Sunlight reflects off it, turning everything soft and sparkly, as if the world has paused for a moment to breathe.

Even though we are still in a time of winter rest, I can feel myself dreaming and looking forward to what is to come. Yesterday, I read a poem to my Essential Herbalist group by John O’Donohue called For a New Beginning. This line is one of my favorites:

“Though your destination is not yet clear
You can trust the promise of this opening
Unfurl yourself into the grace of beginning
That is at one with your life’s desire.”

I would love to know what is rooting in your life - please send me a message.

And if learning more about herbs is part of what you are dreaming, I invite you to follow along and see if any of my upcoming classes can help meet those dreams. Or, if you are dreaming of using herbs to support your body or receiving Maya Abdominal Therapy, please reach out to schedule an appointment.

May this quiet season continue to offer you space to rest, dream, and gently unfurl.
