We moved into our home in Centennial, CO in 2001. One of my favorite things about the home was the mature trees on the property. Right outside the back door stands a truly majestic Linden Tree - its strong branches and heart shaped leaves have provided our family with much needed shade from the intense Colorado sun and the sweetest scent when in bloom. Many family meals, conversations and laughter take place under our Linden Tree.

As I was beginning my official herbal education I learned that the Linden Tree also known as the Lime Tree, has been used as a folk medicine to ease anxiety, promote sleep, lift the spirit, break a fever and much more. In many cultures, a Linden Tree stands in the center of town to promote health and to be a place to hold business dealings and weddings. My decision to follow my passion and study herbalism was made while sitting under the Linden Tree and naming my business after this magical tree felt so perfect.
