From Immune Support to Cycle Wisdom

Echinacea is the plant of the month that I’ve been sharing on social media, and you’ll find more information about her below. One of the strongest remedies made with echinacea is a mucopolysaccharide extract. This preparation pulls out key active components that enhance immune function. It is my go-to remedy at the very beginning of an illness.

I gathered with my students yesterday to make this incredible herbal extract. It was a day filled with community, learning, and laughter. Together we tasted the extract and experienced its strength — that unmistakable tingling it leaves in your mouth.

Once again, I feel so honored to share this work with my students. I am continually challenged by their thoughtful questions and inspired by their genuine desire to learn. This is how herbal knowledge stays alive — shared in community, tasted, questioned, experienced.

I also had the opportunity to teach at Hudson Gardens about herbs for women’s health. It was a wonderful group of women ranging in age from their 20s to their 60s. That class was an overview, but I have upcoming classes that will explore the transitions women experience in much more depth and offer specific herbal support for each season of life.

The first class, Listening to the Cycle, is next month. I’ll be teaching about the stages of the menstrual cycle, what a healthy cycle looks like, and how to use herbs to support each phase along the way.

Understanding your cycle is foundational. Many women were never taught what is normal, what is common, and how to gently support their bodies with plant medicine.

If you feel called to understand your cycle more deeply, I would truly love to see you there.
